Many of our students have been attending Pilates Unlimited classes for years and still learn something new each term. That’s because we constantly evolve our classes, introducing new STOTT PILATES exercises and keeping things interesting with stretch bands, stability balls and fit balls.
There are four terms each year that usually run for 10 weeks each. Can’t make a class for some reason? You are able to make up any missed classes at another time until the end of the same term. Venues are located at Kedron, Aspley and Geebung in Brisbane.
Pilates Unlimited is owned and operated by Katrina Carey, a certified STOTT PILATES instructor who has been teaching Pilates in Brisbane since 2000.
My interest in Pilates first started when I was a professional dancer in my 20s. We were taught the importance of long, lean muscles and a strong core—how these elements would give us the strength and stamina to perform on stage as well as help prevent injuries.
After a successful career in Australia at Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast as well as seasons in Korea and the United States, I decided to focus my energy on Pilates and became an instructor here in Brisbane in 2000.
I still have clients who attended my first Pilates lessons with me today! Even after all of these years they continue to enjoy the benefits that the STOTT PILATES method brings.
I am committed to continuing my education and study and regularly attend intensive STOTT PILATES courses to maintain my knowledge. Each term I introduce new exercises, as well as teaching the fundamental Pilates moves.
My group mat classes use stretch bands, stability balls and fit balls to enhance the Pilates exercises and challenge all skill levels —from beginners through to the intermediate classes.
The discipline I learnt as a dancer means I have a strong focus on form and posture so students learn the correct way to perform Pilates, all in a fun and friendly environment.
